You may be having problems with your DISPLAY as localhost:11.0. This looks like something running from ssh (high display number), and I've found on many systems that setting ``X11UseLocalhost no'' in the sshd_config file cures authentication problems. Having localhost instead of the proper hostname in the DISPLAY may well confuse remote systems.
