Unfortunately this in itself is no indication that it will work and especially I have 
found its
a hit and miss with most cameras. There are very few with reliable drivers,
manufacturers problem.

Ok I will indeed try it again to see if its improved over the last 6 months but it was 
useless
last time. The real problem lies in that the camera is supposed to be seen as a
removable drive and non of those devs are any use. Underr windows its seen as a USB 
removeable
drive and there appears to nothing compatibel in linux, as yet.
