Simply reconfigure lilo.conf to reflect the truth. You're using this system
to send messages right? So there's no issue really.
the 'bios successfully installed" is erroneous, it is coming from the scsi
controller and confusing you. Perhaps, too, the hard disk failure notice (if
you still have one) remove the scsi card temporarily to drop that noise
level. As others have said ctrl-A during bios boot up will (allow you to)
re-configure the scsi card properly
If you're still booting from floppy, fix lilo. This is small potatoes now.
