sorry about the ridiculous delay. I have spent all day either fdisking, fscking, or otherwise chasing my tail (ever mount '/' with the 'nodev' option after moving paritions around?) I still cannot get the bios, lilo, and linux to agree on the damn geometry of this disk. a such, it is running without dma, with no read buffering, no multicount, nada. in otherwords, like molasses uphill in winter..
