OOOOOOOOOH Bing !!!

I had *exactly* and *precisely* this issue with kernel umm err, 2.4.3?? It
was mixed in with me playing with /devfs. The focus on the file and it's name
is WRONG. There *is* a bug with one of the kernel revs and it *is* to do with
file meltdown, my problem / Lee's problem, *might* be that. Whatever.....

Two of my scsi drives decided they were a single drive, and my dos hard disk
ended up somewhere in /var/.....

I would delete files out of the scsi only to find linux 'thought' they were
on the dos drive. Attempting to delete them was 'interesting'. Etc, etc ad
infinutim. You have potentially *serious* file corruption waiting to happen.

With the potential for a total meltdown, i wouldn't take prisoners, scrap
that partition and re-install, all attempts at detective work will most
likely end in pain.
