I don't have much experience with rescue boots <fortunate grin> The one that
"works for me" is generally via a cd rom boot (any distro) and goes
linux <number> root=/dev/hd?? nointrd
I thinlk I understood the rest of your message, am just supplying some extra
snippets for folks.
