Many do.

I have voiced my opinion on this as far back as grade 9 history when I
did a lot of work on American and Canadian history and saw how many
times the scenario Sinclair mentioned has played itself out. Most
notably IMO the contributions made in both world wars that went rewarded
by snobbery, snubbery and insults by much of Europe.

I am proud to be Canadian and always will be. But I have to say in all
honesty that a big part of the reason that Canada is such a wonderful
place to live is due to the fact that we have wonderful neighbours.

This is my first and probably last post on this subject, I have tried to
stay out of what I feared was a powder keg. To echo Doug's sentiments:
Thanks to all the list members who didn't allow that to happen.

And last and most importantly, I offer my sincerest and most honest
condolences to all those who have been directly affected by this
indescribably horrible attack. I was sitting at work listening to this
unfold and was so disturbed that I actually left work, not out of fear,
but out of anguish and sorrow that I could not help but seek the comfort
of home and family. I feel as though I couldn't have been more affected
by this had I been an American myself.

At times like this, even though I am not a religious person, I find
myself praying for the sake of those poor souls who have been and are
living through the hell this has brought upon so many innocent
families. And most importantly for the people who are still trapped or
have lost their lives.
