Uhhh, yes I know all of this (about not really "annexed").  I was 
trying to make a joke.  Sorry if it missed.  
So here's another attempt at a joke:
"Did the special concessions include letting Dubya . . . . ."  oh, I'd 
better stop this.

BTW, I've been to Texas and I like parts of it ;-)
Hmmm, let me see. . . . . . .  "I like Dallas a lot !! "  <g>
