Not at all. I'm running Mandrake 8.1 using DHCP. The problem was intermittent at first, but is pretty persistent, now. My server is a WIN 98 box that I connect to through a Linksys switch. My NIC is a Realtek 8139. I have a hardware A/B switch in the phone line to completely shut the server out of the phone line. I put that in when my eDesktop install (different box than this Mandrake box) would intermittently do this same thing. What both installs and boxes have had in common is the WIN 98 server. It's a standard network setup though, only needed protocols. Let me know if you need any other info. Thanks Lonni.
