I've got to agree with you that file transfers at least are slow. I know my sister has a tendency to run bearshare in windows at times and there seems to be about 60-90% overhead when running the program. This leads me to my next question, is there any way to limit the amount of bandwidth a certain port can use when setting up a linux box as a gateway?
