I got this from Mr. Hunley's site:

[root@server e2fsprogs-1.25]# cat /home/scripts/compile.e2fs
./configure --prefix=/usr --with-root-prefix= --enable-elf-shlibs
make
make install install-libs

Is it the caldera setup?
