Yes wget does handle cookies easily, but you have to specify a storage
file where they can be kept between invocations. I doubt however that it
handles javascript.

As for testing application software with mouse clicks, Carl Cerecke has
extensive experience in this, IIRC a Python program was one of the tools
to use. He's always very helpful.
