You do have to substitute your own server's name for the example
my.server.name
new@Ubuntu:~$ nmblookup Ubuntu
10.1.1.3 Ubuntu<00>
rik@rik-Core-duo-1860:~$ nmblookup Ubuntu
querying Ubuntu on 10.255.255.255
name_query failed to find name Ubuntu
