I've seen arguments that suggest the phrase "No Party" doesn't mean what we think it means when we first read it. That is, we think it means "nobody at all", when it may mean "No member of the TPPA agreement", where "members" are Governments and Major Corporations. Which then entirely inverts the claim, and articulates that governments may not decree open-source software or require open-sourcing of software as a part of a trade negotiation. Naturally, people would be really against having their commercial product being told to opensource as in order to be part of an trade negotiation. Of course, IANAL, But I recall there being one on this mailinglist who might be able to direct us better on how this legalese really plays out. -- Kent KENTNL - https://metacpan.org/author/KENTNL _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.canterbury.ac.nz/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
