Hi Barry...
Switch to Gnome? :-)
But seriously... I had this problem on a debian/kde a wee while ago and after
a bit of googling found some threads suggesting it was a regression issue in a
new/current version and no real fix... (The right-button option was also
missing)
In the end I installed Debian 7, and it's kde/dolphin had the right-button
functionality back...
I'm not really a KDE fan, so can't offer much else, but I needed kde for a
customer application and they didn't mind running an older OS so Deb. 7 fixed
the problem. I do note that installing dolphin on the (Debian 8) machine I'm
using now it has the menu option back, and the right button works. Dolphin is
V 4:4.14.2-1
Cheers, Chris H.

Subject: [Linux-users] Dolphin file manager problem
Hello All
I have just installed Mageia 5 on a clean partition and find there is an
entry missing from the Dolphin File Menu.
Dolphin version is 4.14.3. This menu does not now include provision to
create new Folders or Files (which I have used many times in the past)
Konqueror has the same problem. Google has not offered any help so far.
Any ideas please
TIA
Barry
