A correction. Not *some* EUC terminal emulators, but *every* EUC terminal emulators. Do you know *any* example which is popular in CJK world and on which a 0x08 moves two columns on a doublewidth character?
Sure, every one of Korean emulators (for EUC-KR and Johab) I have used moves two column-widths (a single Korean character) for 'backspace'.
I was rather surprised to know that Japanese terminal emulators don't.
