Hi all,

I just start to take a look at Unicode/Utf-8 in console mode for Linux 2.4 kernel. I'm a bit surprised as it looks VC_UNICODE is not really used in keyboard.c (which handles most of kbd inputs).
Even if kbd mode is set to VC_UNICODE, first byte of keysym is used as keysym type (KTYP: 0xF0 to 0xFC) and so some Unicode chars can't be used.

May be I'm wrong, could someone explain??

thx
