UVC defines relative and absolute exposure controls. As I was not sure how to map them to V4L2_CID_EXPOSURE, I used private controls. I posted a mail a few months ago on the video4linux mailing list to get standard UVC controls added to the V4L2 API. Unfortunately, people haven't been very enthusiastic.
