Hi,
I have Panasonic NV-GS180 (ID 04da:2318) digital camera with "webcam
mode". when uvcvideo driver discovers it, says:

usb 2-9: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2
usb 2-9: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device DVC (04da:2318)
usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo
USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0)

and /dev/video1 appears. But no known v4l framegrabber is able to use it.

=================================================================
 WARNING: YOU ARE USING V4L DEMUXER WITH V4L2 DRIVERS!!!
 As the V4L1 compatibility layer is broken, this may not work.
 If you encounter any problems, use driver=v4l2 instead.
 Bugreports on driver=v4l with v4l2 drivers will be ignored.

vlc gives just no image. Moreover, these apps behave slight
differently in each run, but the main "idea" is the same - i didn't
manage to get image captured even once. I've tried all methods and
known applications. I've searched this mailing list. Your website says
this chipset is supported (as far as I understand this). So what am I
missing? Thanks for paying attention
