I have a similar 'problem' - generally when I boot up the webcam's microphone is found first and that's used as a default sound device. The solution is to run 'alsaconf' as root to reconfigure ALSA and choose the correct soundcard to use. There's probably a better solution out there but I don't reboot frequently enough to go looking for one. :) Hope this helps, -- Alex Pounds (Creature) .~. http://www.alexpounds.com/ /V\ http://www.ethicsgirls.com/ // \\ "Variables won't; Constants aren't" /( )\ ^`~'^ _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list Linux-uvc-devel@lists.berlios.de https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
