Happy New Year and ..... I am a (semi-retired) C programmer (15 years of coding), who stopped coding a while back. I bought a webcam that does not function well, (MS VX1000), and I have another webcam (Creative Live Voice) that is still waiting for debugging.
I have tried to download some webcam analysis software, but was unsuccessful. I would like to be to share my research into the webcam specs, and to contribute in ways that I can. My linux distributions are Fedora 8, Fedora 7 and PCLINUXOS, on my one system. My Fedora versions are 64 bit ones, the PCLINUXOS is 32bits. So, with that combination, I can help test changes to gspca, or other loadable drivers. My C coding stopped in 2002, but I still read code like one reads a novel. Please advise how I can proceed.
