Dear all,

I'm trying to get two webcams to work under openSUSE 10.3. No luck so far, but
I was referred to this mailing list at the openSUSE forums. Any help would be
appreciated!

The webcams in question are:
(1) Elecom
UCAM-N1C30WBK2
ID 0ac8:301b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. ZC0301 WebCam

(2) Sanwa Supplies
CMS-V23SETSV
ID 0ac8:307b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp

Both cheapies, as probably apparent from the chip they are ... I should
probably get myself a decent webcam, but I do like the Sanwa Supplies in
particular, it's so small.

My work environment:
OS: Linux 2.6.22.17-0.1-default i686
System: openSUSE 10.3 (i586)
KDE: 3.5.7 "release 72.9"
Computer: Panasonic Laptop CF-Y2 "Let's Note" (it's a Japanese model, but the
same as the "Toughbook Light CF-Y2" I think).

Steps I've taken so far:
I've tried using both the gspcav1-kmp-default driver with jasper as
recommended by http://en.opensuse.org/HCL/Web_Cameras as well as the uvcvideo
driver, but neither solution seems to work (my system doesn't recognize the
webcams when plugged in).
