Mostly forgotten actually. I'm working on reviving it, but I first have to 
implement proper workarounds for webcams that don't implement the 
GET_MIN/GET_MAX requests on the video probe control properly (and there are 
many of them). I'll soon post a patch for review/testing on the list, and 
I'll then work on the JPEG quality patch.

That's related. Thanks for the information. I'll contact the authors of motion 
after committing JPEG quality support to update their wiki.
