Hi in my SONY VAIO TZ laptop is camera with chipset r5u870 and USB ID: 05ca:183a
For this camera I use firmware and loader from project:
http://www.bitbucket.org/ahixon/r5u87x/ which use UVCVIDEO.
camera is working, but not in skype. The problem is that I see with overlapped
image, because camera is 640x480 and skype request image with resolution 320x240
and UVCVIDEO bad resample the image, where is only right top and left top
quadrates overlaped to one.
if I look on video through mplayer (this request image in original size
640x480), image is OK, but only on kernel version 2.6.26.
after kernel upgrade to 2.6.27 I need specify -fps, because I get the error
message: "FPS not specified in the header or invalid, use the -fps option."
exist any solution for this problem? this camera is in skype unusable.
