Hi everybody,

this had to happen at some point for maintenance reasons, the uvcvideo source
code is now hosted on linuxtv.org. You're all invited to visit
http://linuxtv.org/hg/~pinchartl/uvcvideo/ for a tour of the new host (I'm
afraid I can't provide champagne and appetisers yet).

The switch comes with its share of benefits, such as a nice web interface or
automatic tarballs generation (and, last but not least, at least for me, an
easier way to manage compatibility with older kernel versions).

A bit more disturbing for those of you who were used to SVN, it also comes
with a disruption in your work habits, as linuxtv.org uses Mercurial as its
revision control system. Documentation about Mercurial is available from the
linuxtv.org wiki (http://linuxtv.org/v4lwiki) and of course the Mercurial web
site (http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/wiki/). The linux-uvc web site has
been updated with instructions to quickly retrieve the driver sources.

The SVN repository on Berlios has been deprecated. It still contains the
uvcvideo history but will print an informational message instead of compiling
when you invoke make without specifying a target.

I hope the switch will be beneficial for all of us. Feel free to report issues
and concerns on the linux-uvc-devel mailing list where I'll try to provide
assistance.

Best regards,

Laurent Pinchart
