Ok, that explain something, i noticed that uvc doesn't support v4l1.

I didn't research the apps, just install everything with a webcam in my
description ;) Maybe it's a new kde4 app, so I have to search for
options (maybe the same problem liek luvcview)

After the latest update, cheese works :-)

The one I have is the newest in the opensuse 11.1 repos, so I have to wait,
as the 16 gb ssd is not a good built-enviroment ;)
But other than that, the cam works, only window resizing crashes the
viewer, but starting with a higher resolution (-s) works.
Now I have to sort out, where the change of the brightnesslevel of
the display is started, I had trouble with the kde4 powerdevil and
thought it was sorted out with kde3, but while the cam is running, the
backlight intensity changes more than once a minute. Maybe it's the
hardware, kernel or videodriver...
