Hi everyone, i own a Philips SPC1300NC which runs fine with uvc. Recording video never was an issue, and since a weeks i can even record audio using the internal mix of the camera. But i was never able to record audio and video at the same time; not in skype, nor in any other application. When trying to videophone with skype my communication partner receives perfect video but only distorted audio. I some how realized the the audio distortion starts when i start video. Running a few tests outside of skype (with arecord and luvcview) i now have a deterinistc behaviour: 1) When audio recording is started prior to video recording, audio recording goes only well until video recording is started. 2) When video recording is started prior to audio recording, both work perfectly For my test i used skype(video test in options)+skype(audio-only phone call) skype(video test in options) + arecord luvcview + skype(audio-only phone call) arecord + luvcview
In all cases 1) and 2) hold. Does anybody know why this happens? Whether this is a uvc-bug or an alsa-bug? Any hints on how to debug this?
