Sure. Download the latest driver source code and backport it to your kernel. 
If you can live without the latest additions to the uvcvideo driver you can 
start with the SVN version, it includes more compatibility code for older 
kernels (down to 2.6.15).

If you can't backport the driver yourself ask CentOS for help. Shipping a 3 
years old kernel makes them responsible for the backports.
