Glad to see your problem is solved. As usual, the answer was easy once the problem has been properly diagnosed. The resolutions reported by the driver are the resolutions advertised as supported by the device. I'm afraid you won't be able to get more than 5fps at 1600x1200 with your camera (this is actually a USB bandwidth issue, you would need MJPEG compression to get higher frame rates at that resolution).
