The "Failed to query" messages are unfortunately not surprising. Many "old" 
Logitech UVC webcams suffer from a firmware bug that has no known 100% 
reliable workaround.

The spontaneous disconnection troubles me. I've never noticed, or even heard 
of, such a problem with Logitech UVC webcams.

In what time frame does the problem occur (especially the spontaneous 
disconnection) ? Could you try the camera on another machine ?
