Have you checked the quickcamteam.net forums for information ? I got a patch for that but it was rejected. After some discussions V4L2 developers reached the consensus that VIDIOC_[GS]_JPEGCOMP should be deprecated in favor of new JPEG controls. I haven't had time to work on a proposal for those.
