Hi, I was following a thread about the same camera from a while back but I never saw any resolution. My camera displays garbled video in luvcview such that I feel like it might cause a siezure if i stare at it for too long. It looks like "noise" mostly.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 with the built in Omnivision camera. lsusb reports: Bus 002 Device 002: ID 05a9:2640 OmniVision Technologies, Inc. I am running Ubuntu 9.04 with kernel 2.6.28-15.
