I've used it in Windows before I discovered what was really happening in Windows. The fact is that the cam worked perfectly both within the system preview application (the one in 'My Computer' AFAIR) and with Skype. I haven't been able, though, to test it thoroughly and I just have to guess that Skype demanded the same resolution it does on Linux.
