I tried this with a Lifecam Studio and a Microsoft VX 6000 connected to the same USB hub and could view live video simultaneously from both. My impression of the Lifecam Studio: excellent video and audio quality (even in low light), and it "just works" (at least on the Ubuntu versions I've tried --- 10.10 and up).
