Hi people,
I have real problem with my Trident 9440 video card, i just got from a
friend, it was working good, but i just can't configure it in Linux. The
problem is with the below configuration it still flickers (if i
understand the word `flickers' correctly) and hangs for a couple of
seconds, may be more, if i switched from virtual screen to another one
or if i used the scroll bar in FileManager. Leave some traces from
previous window when closed i.e., doesn't refresh the right way /
timing.
Can anyone help me what is the optimal configuration for this card.
Please help.
Kernel 2.2.7, SuSE 6.1, XFree86 v3.3.3.1. gnome DT with enlightenment
WM.
Card: Trident 9440, Linear Accelerated PCI v4.02.12, 2MB
X Server used: XF86_SVGA, tried SuSE_Trident which's actually symlink to
XF86_SVGA
hsync: 31.5-35.5 }
v[sync/refresh]: 43-65 } A gentleman on IRC told me about this.
Resolution 800*600
