Good Day Everybody,
I have an older 100mhz pentium. I just added a Trident
975/3d 4 meg card to this box. It was like setting up
X for the first time (I haven't had this much trouble since
my first one, 10 or 12 boxes and 15 different cards ago :-)
Anyway, the minor problem is that this card will not operate
with X unless I first fire it up in 800x600 mode ( 8bpp ). Not that
this is a great problem, but I would like to start it right off in a
higher
resolution instead of starting x and then waiting to do ctrl-alt-+/-
If I have anything other than 800x600 start first then all I can
get is a black screen. Probing clocks is NOT reccommended
with this card.
Anyone have any experience with this, or should I just live with it?
