Hi Bruce,

This patch is based on the below patch in Kernel 3.8:

commit f22e9ce7703448e1a2063fa171fb22dfef1da6dc

Author: Josef Ahmad <[email protected]
<mailto:[email protected]>>

Date: Wed Apr 9 16:57:30 2014 +0100

     Quark GPIO 1/2

Since there are several changes in the drivers/gpio/gpio-pca953x.c file
are not merged into upstream, I did not submit this patch into upstream yet.

Understood. It is often worth while to add something like "inspired by
a similar patch from <person's name>", just so we can track these
things through time.

I am planning to submit it to linux-gpio now, how do you think about it?

Right before you signed-off-by, could you add:

[yli: upstream submission pending]

Bruce

Thanks,

Yong Li
