Yes, this will be wery interesting! Please post patches, when you see fit.

One of my colleagues is currently looking into implementing timing-related
parts of MAC in the firmware (basing on the some RTOS kernel). Hope
we can share at least some common parts of serial protocol.

Another point that can interest you: when we contacted Freescale regarding
distributing sources based on their generated files, the easiest solution (from
the licensing POV) is to distribute patches to the 'default generated project'.

BTW: could you please send the exact part num. of the i.MX board that you have,
I'll ask our local Freescale contact for it, so we can try port it's
BSP to current
kernels.

Maxim Osipov did some work on ZigBee sockets. Maybe he can comment
