Hello, colleagues, I'm sorry it looked like we are ignorant on 'not all packets dumped by tcpdump/wireshark' issue.
During the weekend I've commited support for so-called 'monitor' network devices which will dump all packets passing through the radio. You will need to update your kernel and userspace utils. Then please use the 'iz monitor .... ' command and use your preferred sniffer. Most probably you'd also need to update the libpcap patch (but it should be pretty much straightforward). The internal 'monitor's interface is still not in it's final form, so cleanup patches for respective kernel parts are welcome. I plan to cleanup things there a bit (as bonus, adding support for Freescale SMAC protocol (that 0x7e ff one, if you know what I'm talking about)). Also note, that while 'packet injection' via monitor interfaces is planned, it's not yet supported and won't work as expected. -- With best wishes Dmitry ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
