Very interesting point of view actually. let's blame the journalists for
spoiling yet another word in order to rise their audience. "Hacker" was a
new word for them that they start using without really knowing the meaning,
and they spoiled it. And i agree with you that 'piracy' is just another
example. Sometimes they use the French "contrefaçon" which is certainly
better but not always, and probably never in the headlines.

Unfortunatly, I don't trust the vast majority of our politicians to defend
our interests. Thus, educating those guys seems to me a terrible quest like
Don Quichotte's. I admit that I'm still surprized (and pleased) when I
discover that some people at least really represent the citizens, like
Michel Rocard or Guy Bono. But I believe the battle is already lost with our
French representatives. It's gonna be the same for many sensible subjects
that will rule our future, like software patents or genetically modified
organisms.

Well sorry for this bad mood.
