I'll have to agree with you here. I connected to the same system again
previously, but the system load must have been down from before. Therefore
I connected to one of the slowest systems in our lab and reproduced the
problem easily. I would say this is definitely bound to the connecting
system.

I dont think so. I only started seeing it in 0.15.5. It is something of
a race condition, and may depend on a number of things, including system
speed, system load, and what options you used to compile it.
