The CVS server is back online. It may have to be shut down for a short
period of time to cut back over to regular power from the diesel, if
that hasn't happened already.

Sometimes that happens to me. I haven't yet figured out the pattern, but it
never lasts longer than a session. Try logging out then back on and see
if that helps.
It must be something flakey with xterm or a version of xterm.
