Hi,

I think that debugging is enabled by default, at least on my system.  You
need to specify a filename with the -t option.  Otherwise, after running
configure, you can edit the makefile in the src directory to add a -DDEBUG
flag.  There is probably a way to pass that info via the configure
command, but I don't know what it is.
