Sorry, I use the same account in two locations, so your most recent msgs are
of course at the location that I am not at presently.

I ran another test, this time with the '400 administrator present!  I
checked the lpq-Plinuxoptra and there were no entries.

What we're getting from the AS400 qsysopr msgs, is a 'hardware failure', the
details of which show error code 6140, the linuxopts2 device goes
immediately active, writer shows active and then in the handshake process
fails somehow on the above error msg.  The printer does work locally within
Linux OS...so I'm wondering if you have any suggestions.
