Hmm, I'm not sure about the kind of thing your talking about, but I can
imagine three
possibilities:
1) A plain old telnet gateway (e.g. not a tn5250 gateway) that requires
you to type in the
name of the remote host at a prompt once you sign on. This would
probably be confused
by the tn5250 data stream and option negotiation, and nothing we
could do about it.
2) A plain old telnet gateway (e.g. not a tn5250 gateway) with a
hard-coded destination
address and no user intervention. Either it should just work, or, if
it's mucking with
telnet option negotiation, it might just not work. Either way,
nothing we can really
do about it.
3) A tn5250-specific gateway. It should just work, but if not, it might
be our issue
(although I rather doubt it).
