Well the big thing that everyone notices is good looking fonts. This is where gtk2 really shines. It looks very nice. But for me the big reason to use 2.0 is that all the docs on gtk.org are for 2.0 now. The older 1.2 docs are probably still there but everything I've been doing is 2.0. > At any rate, go with GTK 2 if you prefer. You may want to try 2.0 since they can both coexist on one machine. There aren't a whole lot of apps written to the 2.0 API yet but many are being updated to use it.
