If they are just doing an out-of-the-box vanilla upgrade, that should be no
sweat. Do they have a specific reason to upgrade or just want because 2.4 >
2.2 and logically must be better? If a couple people from the group did it
and documented it, it could become a (mini-)presentation... Of course if
they have alot of quirky hardware and custom programs/scripts/etc then it
could prove to be pretty time-consuming if not difficult.

On the other hand...according to their website this is a "Global leader in
[Oil] Spill Prevention" and OOPS == O'Brien's Oil Pollution Service, Inc.
Looks like they are trying to save a few bucks and ask for LUGs to help.
Advice is fine but labor is slightly different. If a church/non-profit org
asks for some help for someone to look at their HVAC (heating/vent/Air-cond)
units it is one thing, people are willing to help, but if McDonalds asks for
it, it differs slightly. On one hand it could be a good linux PR move, on
the other we could just wind up working for free with a quick "Thanks, and
off you go!".

Maybe we could get some more information from her/them. If they just want
us to colloborate (ie send questions to the list and get a bunch of
suggestions) that's fine...but we should find that out, as well as some more
details of the setup (vanilla or complicated).

That's my $0.02 - anyone else have any thoughts?

        George
