One more significant advantage of a *public* library over private
facilities that aren't member owned: US First Amendment (as much as is
left these days)

Hypothetically, if a presentation got into controversial areas or some
folk heard some "Microsoft bashing" and complained, they'd have a harder
time leveraging the library into controlling the content. As long as
there's no sigificant legal violation, the library has to treat us the
same way as other groups.
