I've finally got connectivity again! I've got Verizon DSL, which uses pppoe. Setting up pppoe on my box was a breeze (I'm using Roaring Penguin, the user space client, not the kernel module), but for some reason I've been unable to log in to the service using my Verizon-supplied username and password. I'm using a test account for the moment.
