Thanks to everyone for the help. I did do a tiny bit of reading on LDAP and 
do know that Novells NDS is based on that or close to that. And I would 
assume so would Windows 2000's Active Directory.

Anyone have any idea as to what would be used on the client's side for 
authentication? Like for Netware you have the Novell Client etc. And if 
supposed I had Linux on the client side, how would that be authenticated by 
the LDAP server? Any ideas?
